A few positive observations on the season.

The entire team appears to be focused and brings their "A" game (defensively and offensively) when Matthew is on the mound. I have seen some incredible defensive plays on Friday nights - contributing to Matthew's ACC leading 1.20 ERA.
Zach has the fewest walks per game of any pitcher in the ACC and his 2.70 ERA is the 11th lowest in the league.
Several of our other pitchers are really hitting their stride. Jake Long has looked excellent with a 2.40 ERA since his return from injury.
I know that many of you will hate the following comment, and I don't mean to insinuate that 0.500 baseball is acceptable at Clemson, but... THIS IS THE BEST 0.500 BASEBALL TEAM IN THE COUNTRY, and THAT is what is so frustrating...

I would be very interested to see what our record would be if we had .5 reduction in unearned runs.
