ok... so here's an NCAAT protocol question...

I was just looking at the protocols and deadlines... It looks like the bracket locks on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. Teams have between Sunday's tournament field announcement, and Tuesday night, to inform the committee they can't meet the deadlines/protocols.

The committee will have replacement teams available in that scenario.

What happens if it's a 1 seed that can't meet protocols? You can't just replace Gonzaga with Boise St, can you? It seems like that could be a mess.

team that did not make the final 68 will slide into the vacated slot. Ergo, a team no. 69 would play a 16 seed in the 1st round.

morning, and they said there will be no seeding changes or new teams added once the bracket locks. The bracket doesn't lock until 6:00 on Tuesday night. At that point, if there is a COVID issue, the other team just advances.

However, it sounded like, between Sunday and Tuesday... if there is a COVID issue and a replacement team, there could be a reseeding.
