Height: 6-4 Weight: 303 Hometown: Thomson, GA (Thomson HS) Class: 2012
According to Craig Haubert of ESPN:
1st team All-CSRA and All region 3A Tight end. Clemson has already offered Atkins for next year's recruiting class.
"It is fun to watch the big man running across the field and hauling in passes as a tight end, but Atkins will do his damage at the next level in the trenches, likely as a defensive tackle. With the ability to get moving quickly and a thick and stout build, he could be a powerful and tough defender inside. He also shows the tools to develop into a road grader at guard. Whether he plays on the offensive or defensive line, this is an intriguing big man with some tools to develop and is someone to keep an eye on."
