Alex Hemenway is looking to continue his career in the SEC.

Hemenway announced a commitment to Vanderbilt on Tuesday. He needs a medical waiver to play out a final collegiate season after action over five years with the Tigers, totaling 508 points over 95 career games.

Hemenway was limited to five games last season, seeing his last playing time in November versus Alcorn State. He scored highs of nine points versus Winthrop and Davidson each.

Hemenway averaged as much as 6.8 points in his fourth season, where he started 12 of the 20 games. He missed several games due to a plantar fascia injury.

Hemenway is the third Elite Eight team member to find a new spot, along with RJ Godfrey (Georgia) and Josh Beadle (Boston College). Chase Hunter has entered the NBA draft with the option to return, while PJ Hall announced he is going pro regardless. Clemson formally announced the addition of transfers Jaeden Zackery (guard/BC) and Viktor Lakhin (center/Cincinnati) on Tuesday as well.
