Swinney expects Watson to "take it to another level" in 2015 |
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney was asked about the progress of injured quarterback
Deshaun Watson
Deshaun Watson "He's doing great. His rehab is way ahead of schedule and he is just a great worker in everything that he does," Swinney said. "But, he was able to do a lot this spring, from a football standpoint. Drill work and things like that and throwing a little bit. "Every team period he would kind of mentally rep. Basically, I had him with me the whole time when we would do our competitive team stuff. He had to mentally really stay sharp. So, it was a good spring and we got a lot done. I think as far as going into the season, this time last year, he was just trying to earn his way, if you will. Now, he's just a on a whole other level from a mentality standpoint in that he's had great success in games. He's played in Tallahassee. His confidence is, not that it was not good last year, it's just one thing to plan to go do it and another thing when you've done it. I just expect him to take it to another level from a mental standpoint."
