is currently recovering from offseason hip surgery (hip labral tear) and will miss the team's OTA's according to Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News.

HSS.edu defines a labral tear as a "semilunar (crescent-shaped) cartilage structure that runs along the rim of the hip socket that provides an added cushion and stability to the hip joint. Labral tears can be caused by a sudden, specific injury or with repetitive motions that cause "wear and tear." Patients have pain deep in the groin on the side of the involved hip. This may be accompanied by a clicking or locking sensation in the hip."

The Bills' organized team activity in Orchard Park will begin on Tuesday, May 26 and ends Thursday, June 11. Mandatory Minicamp will be begin on June 16.

However, Watkins should be ready to go when training camp begins in late July.

The Bills wide receiver had 65 catches for 982 yards and six touchdowns in his rookie season (started all 16 games). He was also rookie of the week three times during the season and had four games with more than 100 receiving yards.
