Report: Watkins has 2nd surgery on foot

by - Assoc. Editor -

Former Clemson standout Sammy Watkins was hobbled by lingering foot issues in 2016 with only 28 receptions for 430 yards and two touchdowns in eight total games with the Bills.

Watkins was a tough cookie as he played the whole year with the broken foot. WGR 550 radio is reporting that Watkins had surgery on his broken left foot on Thursday for a second straight offseason. The procedure was done by Dr. Robert Anderson and he should be fully healthy for training camp.

He is a game changer for the Bills if he can stay healthy but has battled different injuries since he has been in the professional ranks.

Watkins has 153 catches for 2,459 yards and 17 touchdowns in three seasons with Buffalo.
