ESPN's Herbstreit impressed with Clemson after ND win

ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit was impressed with Clemson's crowd at ESPN College GameDay on Saturday morning and the football program after Clemson's 24-22 win over Notre Dame on Saturday night.

Herbstreit was shocked with the Clemson fan support as they dealt with wet and muddy conditions on Bowman field watching the ESPN College GameDay telecast on Saturday morning.

"Can I just turn around and mention these guys for being out here? I don't know how many inches of rain we've had here... I thought we might have five people out here, but we've got thousands and it just speaks volumes about this fan base and how great they are," Herbstreit said.

Herbstreit had the following to say about Clemson as Swinney was kneeling down in celebration moments after the close hard fought win.

"This is a big win for his program," Herbstreit said. "Think about this....in the last three years, this program is now 36-7 with wins over LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Ohio St., Oklahoma and now Notre Dame. He has taken this program to a whole different level. So what you saw there was not just relief, but he is so darn proud of his program and what they've built here."
