Dawkins still welcomed at Dove Valley

View Full Profile Tuesday morning as he drove to the Broncos' facility to formally say goodbye.

As he approached Dove Valley, Dawkins realized he no longer knew where to park. Should he pull in up front, where visitors park and check in at the front desk? Or could he still pull into the players' parking lot around back, and use his pass code to enter the large metal gate?

After a quick phone call to a team employee, Dawkins was allowed into his familiar spot in the players' lot, a sign that though his playing career is over, the Broncos will welcome Dawkins back to Dove Valley whenever he wants.

"They know I'm going to be around, and any time they need me for anything, whether it's to help with the guys or whatever, I'm open to be used as they need me," Dawkins said. "My door is open, as they have told me their door is open the other way as well."
