Former Clemson products Jacoby Ford and TJ Green are listed as competitors in the 40 Yards of Gold tournament on June 29.

The event will feature former and current NFL athletes meeting in a head-to-head tournament for the fastest 40-yard dash times. Ford and Green would be in separate offense and defense brackets and the winner on each side meets to determine the fastest player at the event.

Notable other listed participants include Alvin Kamara, Kareem Hunt, Ted Ginn Jr., Trae Waynes, Budda Baker and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Ford ran the 40-yard dash 4.28 seconds in the 2010 NFL combine and was selected in the fourth round by the Oakland Raiders. Ford was last on an NFL roster in 2013 and has since had stints in the CFL with Edmonton, Montreal and Saskatchewan. He was a national champion in the indoor 60-meter dash at Clemson and had a run of 18-straight wins in the 60 and 100-meter events over his final outdoor Clemson season.

Green ran a 4.34 40 in the 2016 NFL combine. He was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the second round that year and cut in 2018. He signed with the Seattle Seahawks but was put on the injured reserve shortly after.

According to the event, the competition will be held in Sunrise, Florida with a prize of nearly $1 million on the line and will be broadcast live (details TBA).
