One-time Auburn commitment and Under Armour All-American Spencer Region (6-6, 330) from Cullman, AL has scheduled a visit to Clemson this weekend.
Region is also considering a visit to Miami or Florida, but is waiting for the new staffs at those schools to evaluate his film. Region has already visited Louisville. Region made headlines earlier this year when he committed to Auburn in front of a crowd of more than 100 pro-Alabama fans. Just a mere two hours before his announcement Region told Scout.com that committing to Alabama was a "dream come true. Ever since I was little, I have always wanted to run out of the tunnel at Bryant Denny." But when Region got on the stage for the announcement he had a change of heart. "Due to changes, I am de-committing from Alabama and I am committing to Auburn," Region said. "I will be an Auburn Tiger, where I feel they really care about me." Later Region discussed the change of schools with the Birmingham News. "They didn't agree with my decision, but quite frankly I don't care," Region told the Birmingham News. "It's not their choice. This is my recruitment. This is my decision. They don't have to make it. They don't have to live four years in a place they don't want to be just because they got pressured into something. I don't really listen to that. The only thing that negative feedback does is fuel me. It keeps me going. I love it."
