Michael Palmer has recently received offers from Clemson and Virginia. Following an in-home visit with Ron West Monday night, Palmer visited Clemson unofficially on Tuesday.

"I just wanted to get a better feel for the school. Coach West showed me a DVD of the tight ends last night, and I wanted to see more of the school."

Did Palmer have a chance to meet with any other coaches while on campus?

"I met with Coach Hines and Coach Spence. Coach Spence has really been successful incorporating the tight end in his offense. He told me they only did a small fraction of what he wants to do this year. He really has a good grasp on what he wants in his offense."

Is Palmer favoring the Tigers?

"It is going to be a difficult decision. I am not ready to go on record with a leader, but my decision is not far away. I am going to sit down with my family, and we are going to decide. It will be Clemson or Virginia. Both schools have a lot to offer, and I do not believe I will go wrong with either school."
