“This kid is a diamond in the rough,” said Jamaal Zanders, an assistant at Dooly County. “He’s an animal and a very hard worker. Montravius has had a monster junior year so far. In five games he has 10 sacks.”

After not playing much as a freshman, he started seeing the field more as a sophomore and has blossomed this year.

Clemson is the first team to offer Adams so far for the 2013 recruiting class.

Adams finished his sophomore season with 17 tackles for loss and nine sacks.

He also punts and kicks for his team.
