From KARE 11 NBC:
"Realistically, his decision should be based solely on the place where he feels most comfortable," says the elder Davison. "Not where mom, dad and grandpa felt comfortable but where he feels comfortable." "I've always grown up an Ohio State fan and my family is obviously big Ohio State fans, but I just want to go where it's right for me," Nick said. For the record, the Gophers offered Nick a scholarship, but Minnesota is not in his top five. That top five has Ohio State, Stanford, Clemson, Oregon and Colorado in no particular order. Wherever he ends up, Nick will continue a family legacy. And you may be surprised to know, Nick and Jeff try to keep their relationship father-son, not coach and player. "If I need something extra from him, if I'm not in contact with any my other coaches, I'll definitely ask him but he's my dad first definitely my coach second."
Which brings us back to Nick (Davidson). He's narrowed his college choices to five schools, and Ohio State is one of them. But Dad says, and he means it, there is no pressure to be a Buckeye.
