Guesley Dervil - Defensive Back
Height: 5-11   Weight: 177   Hometown: Jacksonville, FL (White HS)   Class: 2005
ESPN: NR

Guesley Dervil is a highly sought after defensive back who is no hurry to start working through all of his offers.

Dervil has at least 14 offers that includes Clemson, South Carolina, Purdue, North Carolina, NC State, West Virginia, Syracuse, and Florida.

"I am just chilling right now. I will wait it out," says the Jacksonville native.

Dervil was supposed to camp at Florida this summer, but he had a prior obligation that prevented him from attending the camp.

He did not go to any camps this summer, but he knows he has cemented himself as one of the top corners. "I shut the passing game down. They will not throw at me. At a spring jamboree, they threw at me twice. The first one I batted down, and the second one I just picked it off, and they never came my way again."

Dervil has spent his summer trying to get bigger and faster for the upcoming season. "I think this will be our year. I have been putting in a lot of hard work, and I feel hard work does pay off. We had young team last season, so mostly everyone is back. I feel there is a added responsibility for me to be a leader this season."

Dabo Swinney is recruiting Dervil for the Tigers.
