Monday after Howard had visited the Clemson campus. Howard was able to meet head coach Dabo Swinney and offensive coordinator Chad Morris while he was visiting with his high school coach. He was asked when and who gave him the Clemson offer today. He said, "Swinney in his office gave me the offer." It was a great feeling. He sees a bunch of talent in me and can fit the program and the offense very well." Howard was asked what he thought of the offense and today's scrimmage. "They put the ball in the air and make the receivers go get it. That is my style. Sammy Watkins is one of the best players that I ever saw play college football, caught my eye. I did not realize he was that fast till i got up real close and in person. He was asked if his ability would be a good fit for Clemson's offense. "I am a good downfield player and I love to get behind the corner backs and use my size." As a junior, he had 837 yards and 8 touchdowns. He has offers from Clemson and Southern Miss. so far in the recruiting season. Clemson is leading for his services. He will take more visits but said "I will pretty much commit to Clemson, hands down but will visit some just to see. This is where my heart is really." He is also a standout basketball player that might get looks from several big-time programs. As a junior, he averaged 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists per game as a power forward for his high school basketball team.
