One of the top players in the state of Maryland this year is linebacker Bani Gbadyu. Gbadyu offer list has risen to 26 offers. The Tigers did a good job of discovering Gbadyu early, when he was a relatively unknown. He turned in impressive performances at the Nike Camp, and he was no longer a secret to the recruiting world.

"Things did start kind of slow, but I wasn't worried about it. My coach just told me to work hard, and everything would fall in place. I stuck by that and everything has worked out really well. I feel very fortunate to be in the position I am in."

The talented linebacker has begun to narrow his list of schools. He listed a top six, but it appears two schools hold the early edge.

"Right now, my top six is LSU, Nebraska, Penn State, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, and Boston College. I am also still considering Clemson, Georgia, Oklahoma, and NC State. LSU and Nebraska are the only two that I know I will take official visits to. I still have to decide who the other three will be."

Gbadyu does plan on taking all five official visits. What will he be looking for from each school?

"Early playing time is a big factor. I want the chance to compete very early. Most of the schools are telling me I could do that. I want to look at each school's tradition at linebacker, and how many they have put in the NFL."
