will take an official visit to Florida on Sept. 22 for the Kentucky game, the defensive tackle from Hope Mills (N.C.) South View told ESPN via text message Sunday.

The trip to Gainesville is the first official visit that Gilmore has announced. However, the Gators still have plenty of work to do to land the ESPN 150 prospect. Gilmore has openly said LSU leads for his services, and he is considering a visit to Virginia Tech. He also recently said he is nearing a decision.
