Quintin Richardson - Offensive Line
Height: 6-5   Weight: 305   Hometown: Spring Valley, SC (Spring Valley HS)   Class: 2007

The first big recruiting battle between Clemson and South Carolina in the 2007 recruiting class will come to a head on Friday. Spring Valley's Quintin Richardson will make his decision at a press conference Friday at 6:30 PM.

Richardson will make his decision between Clemson, South Carolina, NC State, Maryland, and Tennessee. South Carolina's top offensive lineman for 2007 took in the scrimmage in Death Valley in Saturday.

"When I got there, Coach Scott came right to me. I didn't really realize that Clemson needed tackles that much. I watched the guys they had, and I thought they played well, but Coach Scott pointed out a few things they want to improve on and how I could help. I could tell Coach Scott is the type coach I would want to play for in college. He stays after his guys the entire time."

While Richardson listed a top five, he did tip his hand towards the top two.

"Clemson and South Carolina stand out right now. They would be even at the top of my list. Both are great schools, and both have done a really good job recruiting me."

Why is Richardson make his decision now?

"I have seen all of the schools I wanted to see. I gathered enough information for me to go ahead and make my decision. I really don't expect there to anything more out there I could. I have strong sense for every school athletically and physically."

What will Richardson do after he makes his decision?

"After I make my decision, I will go to that school's spring game on Saturday."

We will continue to track Richardson closely all the way up to his decision on Friday.
