However, Clemson is making a strong push with Whitehead, who wants to take all of his visits before deciding. “His top three, from what I’m understanding from him, are Clemson, North Carolina and Georgia,” Carson said. “Clemson pretty much is content on letting him play down as a defensive end to where I think UGA is more interested in him being an outside linebacker-type kid,” Carson said. “From what Kenderius is telling me right now, he’s not comfortable with being an outside linebacker. He wants to play defensive end. We’ll see what happens.” As a junior, he had 54 tackles and 11 sacks.
UGA is also pursuing Tibbs’ close friend and teammate, M.L. King defensive end
