Clemson is looking for another Quarterback for next year's recruiting class. Jameis Winston is a 6-4 195 pound QB from Hueytown, Alabama.
He's elusive in the pocket with good feet. He also throws a great deep ball and can place it in tight coverage windows. He is the type of athlete that most programs in the country want on their team.
Clemson has already offered Winston for next year's recruiting class.
According to the Tuscaloosa News:
Jameis Winston, National 100 quarterback from Hueytown High School, ranks as the No. 2 player in the state. He can easily challenge Alexander for the No. 1 spot. Winston is a standout football and baseball prospect with several schools interested in him playing both sports on the next level.
The 6-foot-4, 195-pound prospect has double-digit scholarship offers including Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Stanford and UCLA.
Alabama and Florida State appear to be out front in the hot pursuit of the athlete.
There isn't much separation between them,” Winston said of the Tide and Seminoles.
“Coach (Dameyune) Craig (FSU assistant) and I have a great relationship. Coach (Jimbo) Fisher (FSU head coach) would basically be my coach. They are the out-of-state school that is really recruiting me heavily.
“I've pretty much had a relationship with Alabama since the ninth grade. They were the first school to jump on me. They have been on me real hard. Coach (Sal) Sunseri and I have a real close relationship.”
