Multiple reports have him committing today but he will announce a top group "with a surprise." Update 1PM EST: 5-star defensive back Saivion Smith from IMG Academy has committed to LSU over Clemson, Florida State, Florida and Virginia Tech on ESPNU's On the Trail Show on Tuesday afternoon. Smith said on the show that he is "100% committed to LSU." Tune in today at 1 pm as @Saivion3 announces his top 5 schools! Watch Live: http://t.co/sND5cGghnJ #IMGFam Some of his top schools are Clemson, LSU, FSU, Florida and Virginia Tech. Smith and his family visited LSU over the weekend and had a great unofficial visit by all accounts. He is being recruited by LSU coaches Corey Raymond and Ed Orgeron. The Louisiana Tigers could be the team to beat if he committed on Tuesday. The defensive back standout is one of the top players in the country and has great cover skills and playmaker instincts. He should be a great lock-down corner and return man in college. Clemson offered on 5/7/14 and it was his first college offer. He also has offers from Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, UCF, UCLA,Virginia Tech and others. Smith visited Clemson for the impressive 35-17 win over the Gamecocks, visited Clemson for the 2014 Dabo Swinney football camp, and visited with his IMG teammates at Clemson's Elite Junior Day back in late January. He plans to major in Sports Management in college. His god-brother is Florida defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. who will probably land in the first round of the 2015 NFL draft.
