On his twitter account, Robinson tweeted that Clemson was "a dream offer I had since i was like 6."

As a sophomore, he was named first team All-Region defensive back and punt returner. His stats for the season on defense were 80 tackles, 4 sacks, and 4 interceptions. On offense, he had over 200 yards and a touchdown and on special teams he had a remarkable seven touchdowns - five kickoff returns and two on punt returns.
