Updated RPI for Clemson Baseball

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson is ranked #52 in the latest RPI rankings after their impressive win against #3 Louisville on Thursday.

Baseball America projects that the Tigers are almost off the proverbial NCAA bubble territory and could cement a NCAA bid with a win against North Carolina on Friday afternoon.

"Clemson took a major step towards regionals with a 7-2 win against Louisville, leveling the overall season series between the teams a two games apiece," said Baseball America. "Clemson’s RPI climbed to No. 52 with the win. That’s still short of lock territory, but now with 17 wins against ACC foes, a fifth place finish, a 12-9 road record and wins in eight of their last 10, the Tigers may have enough going for them to overcome a shaky RPI."

The Tigers return to action Friday at 3 p.m. against the Tarheels.
