Former Clemson wide receiver Germone Hopper has signed a multi-year deal with the Houston Texans on Sunday according to Premier Athlete Advisors.

"So proud of our guy Germone Hopper, former Wide Receiver for the National Champs Clemson University who just signed a free agent contract with the Houston Texans," the agency posted. "We see only good things in this young man's future!"

Hopper worked out for the Texans a week ago after participating in the San Franscisco 49er's minicamp earlier this year.

"G-Hop" had 21 receptions for 317 yards and a touchdown in 2015 when he played in 15 games. In 2014, he had 27 receptions for 331 yards and three scores. During his time at Clemson, he had 71 receptions for 797 yards and six touchdowns.

Swinney said the following about Hopper after he left the team in Febuary 2016.

“Germone has decided to finish up his degree at Clemson and play his fifth year at another school,” said Swinney. “We are proud of the progress he made as a Clemson Tiger and appreciate the contributions he made to our program over the last four years. We wish him all the best.”

Hopper will join former Tigers Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins on the Texans' offense.
