Renfrow: "I had nine good fingers" on Saturday

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson wide receiver Hunter Renfrow talked to the media on Tuesday and talked about the injury that he suffered during the 24-17 overtime win against North Carolina State.

Renfrow was injured after landing hard on a near spectacular catch with 6:53 left in the fourth quarter.

"Just hit my head a little bit," Renfrow said. "I tried to go back in but he wouldn't let me [Danny Poole]. I probably had the wrong answers when I was sitting there. I probably shouldn't have told them I was a little numb but I definitely won't tell him that again."

Renfrow played the game with a brace and it appeared not to bother him too much.

"I had nine good fingers" on Saturday. "I couldn't really tuck with my right hand but could tuck it with my left hand."

Renfrow said that he will have a scan on Monday on whether he will be able to remove his brace. "I think I will be able to," he said. "I am looking forward to that."

This was the first game action in four games for Renfrow after coming back from a hand injury.

Renfrow has 10 receptions for 115 yards and two crucial touchdowns this season. For his career, he has 43 catches for 607 yards and seven scores.
