being the fourth guy. Morris said he was especially pleased with the improvement of McDowell.

“Hot Rod has had probably as good a camp as anyone as far as the running backs,” said Morris. “He’s had a really good spring and he has had a really good fall camp. I told him in front of the team the other day – You can trust Hot Rod. I trust him. I trust him in pass protection, and I trust him carrying the ball. I’m excited about Hot Rod being able to give us some depth out there.”

Morris also said he thinks Zac Brooks will not redshirt and will have to play this season because of the number of plays the Clemson offense runs.
