Clemson ranked #1 in Colin Cowherd's preseason Top 10

by - Assoc. Editor -

Fox Sports personality Colin Cowherd released his college football Top 10 rankings on Monday afternoon, and Clemson was picked #1 in the nation.

"I don't think there has to be any question that Clemson has to be #1," Cowherd said. "The schedule will include nine routs. They have to go to Florida State. That's their toughie. But as Florida State has a mediocre senior quarterback, they have Deshaun Watson who will be the #1 college quarterback in America this year. He is a shorter version of Cam Newton. They return eight offensive starters. They lost a ton on defense, but they don't face an elite quarterback in their conference."

His Top 10 schools were Clemson, Michigan, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, Iowa, LSU, and Utah.
