CBS Sports picks Clemson as #1 team in South Carolina

CBSSport.com released its latest article on Friday which picked the best college football team in each state for 2015 and Clemson was the selection for the Palmetto State.

"This entry would have read very differently in the 2014 preseason," CBSSports.com said. "But then the Tigers snapped their five-game losing streak at the hands of the Gamecocks, capping a disastrous six-loss season for Steve Spurrier's team. Clemson has had four straight 10-win seasons, a first for the program since Clemson had four straight 10-win seasons between 1987-90 and it also the first time the Tigers have won three straight bowl games since 1986-90.

Alaska and Vermont are the only two states that do not have a division one college football program.
