Bill Gates to visit Clemson on Monday

by -

CLEMSON – Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates will visit Clemson University Monday, Nov. 2, to host a question-and-answer session with students. Gates’ talk will be streamed live online on ClemsonTV for public viewing.

“A Conversation with Bill Gates: The Future Generation’s Role in Addressing the World’s Greatest Challenges” will be at 4:30 p.m. in Tillman Hall auditorium.

Gates’ talk is student-centered, so priority seating is allotted to Clemson students who have tickets and a student I.D. and to a limited number of faculty and staff.

Gates and his wife, Melinda, launched the Gates Foundation to expand educational opportunities and access to information technology in the U.S. and enhance health care and reduce extreme poverty in the world.

Fun facts: Gates' net worth is around $79.4 billion and the philanthropist has 25.3 million Twitter followers.
