Report: Clements Has Offer to Leave WVU for ACC School

According to several media outlets, West Virginia President Jim Clements is a possible option as the next president at Clemson University.

Rumors have circulated Wednesday that West Virginia University President Jim Clements has an offer on the table to become the next President at an ACC institution.

Although no schools have been confirmed it is rumored that the school could possibly be Clemson University, after their last president, Jim Barker, stepped down after 14 years earlier this year.

President Clements is reportedly weighing his options and is happy to remaining at WVU but is seriously considering the offer. According to a source at the university close to the situation, who has chosen to remain anonymous due to the sensitivity of the information, current West Virginia Athletic Director Oliver Luck would be considered a serious candidate to assume the presidency, should Clements elect to leave.
