Hopkins becomes 2nd youngest player in NFL history to 500 catches

by - Assoc. Editor -

DeAndre 'Nuk' Hopkins is arguably the No. 1 receiver currently in the NFL.

During Saturday 29-22 win against the Jets, Hopkins had ten receptions on 11 targets for a season-high 170 yards and two touchdowns including the 14-yard game-winner.

It was Hopkins third 150-yard performance of the season which leads the league at the wide-out position. He also made history during the contest as he became the second-youngest player in NFL history to reach 500 receptions at 26 years, six months, and nine days old.

The youngest player to reach the 500 reception milestone is future Hall-of-Famer Larry Fitzgerald.

For the season, Nuk already has 94 receptions for a league-leading 1,321 yards and 11 touchdowns.
