Former Clemson WR to start for Cardinals

Hard work and perseverance pays off.

Fifth-year NFL wide receiver Jaron Brown has rehabbed and fought his way back from an ACL tear in 2016 to become the Cardinals' No. 2 wide receiver for the team's regular season opener against the Lions on Sunday.

The Cardinals use a lot of three receiver sets so 'Third Down' Brown should get plenty of action alongside future Hall-of-Famer, Larry Fitzgerald, and John Brown.

Brown had 11 catches for 187 yards in seven games last season.

In 2015, Brown had 11 catches for 144 yards (13.1 average) and a touchdown. In four seasons with the Cardinals, he caught 55 passes for 700 yards and five touchdowns, and he has also been a key member of their specials teams with 19 total tackles.

Brown was undrafted by the Cardinals back in 2013 but made the team with an impressive display in rookie camp.

In other Clemson news, former standout Andre Ellington was listed as a third-team running back for the Cardinals and should get some reps on third down and used in various packages.
