Former Clemson DE still in pain nearly a year after foot surgery

Titans linebacker Kevin Dodd is still experiencing pain nearly a year after he had surgery to put a screw in this right foot to repair a stress fracture.

“He’s not far off. He still has a little bit of pain in that foot,” Titans coach Mike Mularkey said Tuesday at a press conference for the NFL Draft. “So we’re still working with him daily, trying to get him to be 100 percent, but no, he’s not (healthy).”

“It’s a delicate injury, and he’s done everything he possibly can to get back to the level. It’s just taking time. It’s really just taking time. There’s nobody at fault. We’re doing everything we can to get him back, and he’s been here working diligently trying to get that thing right.”

Dodd had a sack and five tackles in nine games last season after being a second-round draft pick by the Titans.

In 2015, Dodd was a breakout star at Clemson with 62 tackles, 12 sacks and 23.5 tackles for loss (second in the nation behind Clemson's Shaq Lawson).
