Clemson, SC - Thirty-six home games, 21 games against 2012 NCAA Tournament teams, and two games at Fluor Field in Greenville, SC highlight Clemson’s 56-game, 2013 regular-season baseball schedule, released on Monday. The Tigers will also play South Carolina in a three-game series at three different sites during the first weekend of March.

Twenty-one of Clemson’s 56 regular-season contests will be against teams that participated in the 2012 NCAA Tournament. The Tigers will face conference foes Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami (FL), North Carolina, N.C. State, and Virginia, teams that played in the 2012 NCAA Tourney.

The Tigers’ five ACC home series will be against Duke, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Virginia, and Wake Forest, while Clemson’s ACC road series will be at Boston College, Florida State, Miami (FL), North Carolina, and N.C. State. Clemson will not face Virginia Tech during the regular season.

Clemson will open the season with a three-game series against William & Mary at Doug Kingsmore Stadium from February 15-17. It will be the first meetings between the two schools since 2006. The following weekend, the Tigers will host Wright State for a three-game series.

On Tuesday, February 26, the Tigers will play their first midweek game of the season against Winthrop, led by former Clemson Assistant Coach Tom Riginos (2003-10), at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

On the weekend of March 1-3, the Tigers will face rival South Carolina three times. On Friday night, March 1, Clemson will host the Gamecocks at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Like 2010 and 2011, the two teams will play their neutral-site contest at Fluor Field in Greenville, SC on Saturday, March 2. On Sunday afternoon, March 3, the two teams will conclude the weekend series at Carolina Stadium in Columbia. The two teams began the three-game format at three different sites in 2010.

Clemson will open up league play when it travels to Raleigh, NC to face N.C. State from March 8-10. It will mark the first time Clemson begins its ACC slate on the road since 2009. Virginia (March 15-17) will travel to Tigertown to face Clemson the following weekend, then the Tigers will play Morehead State twice at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on March 19,20. It will be the first meetings between the two since 1997.

After Duke visits Doug Kingsmore Stadium for a three-game series from March 22-24, Clemson will play its annual home-and-home series against Georgia. The Tigers will travel to Athens to take on the Bulldogs on Tuesday, March 26 before hosting Georgia the following night.

Clemson will hit the road the next two weekends with three-game series at North Carolina (March 30 - April 1) and Boston College (April 5-7). The series in Chapel Hill will be a Saturday-Monday series.

After a pair of midweek games at Western Carolina and against Presbyterian College, Clemson will host Wake Forest from April 12-14. After a midweek home game against Furman, Clemson will travel to Coral Gables, FL for the first time since 2008 to take on Miami from April 19-21.

The Tigers will wrap up their pre-exam schedule with a home series against Georgia Tech in late April. Following final exams, Maryland will visit Tigertown to take on Clemson from May 4-6.

The Tigers will make their second and final trek to Greenville to take on Furman at Fluor Field on May 8, then they will face another Southern Conference foe in Georgia Southern in a three-game series at Doug Kingsmore Stadium from May 10-12.

Clemson will play its final non-conference game of the regular season on May 14 against USC Upstate at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, then the Tigers will conclude the regular season with a three-game series at ACC Atlantic Division rival Florida State from May 16-18.

Clemson will also play non-conference, midweek home games against Charleston Southern, Gardner-Webb, Western Carolina, and Wofford.

The top-eight teams in the ACC standings will participate in the ACC Tournament at Durham (NC) Bulls Athletic Park from May 22-26. It will be the eighth time overall and the first time since 2011 that the ACC Tournament is held in Durham.
