Chick-fil-A Bowl would rematch Clemson-Auburn |

“We would take both Auburn and Clemson this year and match them up,” Stokan said. We’ve also talked to both (athletic directors), and both ADs have no problem with us selecting them to play in the Chick-fil-A Bowl game this year.” “We think this year’s game would be a rubber-match kind of game, with Auburn winning last year and Clemson winning this year.”
Stokan said another Auburn-Clemson rematch — Auburn beat Clemson at home last year, then lost to the Tigers on the road this year — would not be an obstacle for the bowl selecting the two teams to play again in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome on Dec. 31.
