threw for a school record 428 yards and five touchdown passes, while Watkins recorded a school-record 202 yards receiving and his first touchdown of the season.

The 35 point first half was the spark Tigers' fans needed to see after an uncharacteristic performance against Virginia Tech the week before. Seeing Boyd follow his worst passing game of the season (12-for-21, 160 yards, one touchdown, one interception) with his best (27-for-38, 428 yards, five touchdowns, no interceptions) on a short week road trip is an encouraging sign as the Tigers head down the stretch of the ACC schedule.
