Clemson offered one the nation's top-rated defensive ends Thursday - and a prospect with a last name familiar to most in the Palmetto State.
Frances (Md.) defensive end Demon Clowney announced the offer on Thursday. He is following in the footsteps of cousin, NFL first-round pick and former South Carolina Gamecock (2011-13) Jadeveon Clowney with as high as a No. 2-rating at DE by Rivals. "Blessed To Announce That I’ve Received An Offer From Clemson University," Clowney posted on Twitter Thursday. Clowney visited Penn State this fall and also holds offers from Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina, Tennessee, Michigan and Oklahoma among more Power 5 interest.
