Mickey,

What do you expect to be the "3 Biggest Issues in 2014" for the football team?

I think they are as follows:
1- O-Line
2- WRs
3- DBs

Kirk

Kirk,
I tend to agree with your list. Specifically I am concerned about right tackle. I don't worry about Left tackle, left guard or center. The biggest concern on the team is right tackle.

The key to the wide outs will be Peake's recovery and Williams' development. The freshmen will have to play but Peake and Williams are the key.

I think the corners will be fine and I like the upside of the safeties but would love to see more consistency.

I like what Lakip did as a placekicker in the spring but until he does it in a game then it is a concern.

The return game is also a concern until we see the newcomers.

Mickey,

What's the update on Jae'lon Oglesby? Will he be ready for the season? I know I was hearing alot of talk about SAT/ACT..
Hope all is well with Ryan.. Go Tigers!

Gervonte

Gervonte,
He had a good spring academically. I hear it looks good but the NCAA has not cleared him yet. My guess is that if he is ready then they may get him on the field in a few special situations but he needs to get bigger and stronger.

Mickey,

Your article was right on.  I graduated in 1974 and Dabo and his staff are doing a fantastic job.

CUFAN

CUFAN,
Thanks for the kind words. It is amazing how much Clemson football has changed since you and I first started watching.

Mickey,

I read your blog today, "The Clemson Brand."  I agree wholeheartedly, but might add that the brand can only be as strong as our season record and among the victories we need each season are a victory over South Carolina.  In fact, I would like a  few consecutive wins over the Gamecocks!

Kindest Regards,

Kirk

Kirk,
I think that is coming. I love the direction of the program and think that will show up in the rivalry very soon.
