The nation’s number one defensive tackle prospect concluded his visit to the Clemson campus Saturday afternoon, a visit that spanned four days and included a lot of bonding time with current Clemson players.

, a 5-star prospect out of Vienna (Ga.) Dooly County made the trip to Clemson on his own, but now has plans to bring his mother back for a visit in July.

Adams has offers from most of the major programs, but has been high on the Tigers since the beginning of his recruitment. He is listed by Rivals as not only the number one prep defensive tackle in the nation; they list him as the No. 10 overall player regardless of position.

He told TigerNet Saturday afternoon that he enjoyed his visit, especially getting to spend time with some of the current Tigers.

“I really liked it. I had a good time,” Adams said. “I really wanted to spend time with the players, and see how they got along. I spent a lot of time with Sammy {Watkins], but I also got to spend time with Martavis [Bryant] and Shaq [Anthony.] It was great – it is like we are already teammates.”

Adams arrived on campus Wednesday afternoon, and said he managed to spend time with two of Clemson’s coaches before spending time with the players.

“I had a long talk with both Coach [Robbie] Caldwell and Coach [Dan] Brooks,” he said. “I sat with them for a little while, and they were telling me how it was at Clemson. And then I went back to the dorms with some of the players, just so I could bond with the guys and stuff like that.”

On Thursday, he spent more time with the coaches before watching workouts.

“I got to talk with Coach Brooks a little bit more,” he said. “I then went and watched Sammy and those guys work out and practice and do 1-on-1 type of stuff. I really liked watching them work out. Sammy is a really good athlete.”

On Friday, he spent time with defensive coordinator Brent Venables, who told the 6-3, 290-pounder how he would use him in his defense.

“I actually talked to Coach Venables a lot,” he said. “He is a great guy, and we got along pretty good. He was telling me I could play defensive tackle, and defensive end, and move from side to side. Even back up in coverage little bit. I told him I would do whatever they needed of me.”

Adams said he actually talked twice to Clemson head coach Dabo SwinneyDabo Swinney

– who is on vacation - by telephone.

“I talked to him, and he was just telling he wanted me to be with the players and coaches and learn everything I could about Clemson,” he said. “And then he told me that the next time I come up, I need to bring my mom. So I think I am going to come back up on July 20th and bring my mom and let her see everything.”

Adams said he still doesn’t have a leader, and will make a decision after his senior season.

As a junior, Adams led the nation with 45 tackles for loss. Overall, he had 84 tackles and 10 sacks.
