First Friday Parade kicks off Clemson University football season

by -

Central Spirit is happy to announce the First Friday Parade. This year’s parade will be on Friday, September 3 at 6:00 p.m. with a pep rally following the parade on Bowman Field. Clemson University and community will celebrate the theme The Next Ten Years: Decade of Domination as our Tigers face off against the North Texas Mean Green on Saturday, September 4.

Keith Adams will serve as this year’s Grand Marshal. He will lead Miss First Friday, floats built by our sororities, numerous walkers and vehicles from the Cherry Road & Hwy 93 intersection (in front of President Barker’s House) to Hwy 93 & Williamson Road (Intramural Field).

The Tiger Band, Clemson Cheerleaders, Rally Cats, the Tiger mascot, and many Clemson fans will then reroute back to Bowman Field for the Pep Rally to get everyone excited for the new football season. New men’s and women’s basketball coaches Brad Brownell and Itoro Umoh Coleman also will participate.

Admission to view the parade and the pep rally that follows is free; come out wearing Clemson orange to support your Clemson Tigers and line the parade route with Clemson pride.
