CLEMSON -- College football writer Phil Steele has ranked Clemson's 2011 football schedule as the 12th toughest.
Steele's forumla is based on his own power ratings and the amount of
home and away games played. However, based on the NCAA method of 2010 winning percentages for opponents, Clemson has the toughest schedule out of all 120 Football Bowl Subdivision teams. This year’s opponents went a combined 104-54 (.658) last season. Last month, The Sporting News ranked the toughest non-conference schedules for the 2011 season, and Clemson was slotted as the 10th-most difficult schedule among all BCS teams. NCAA Method
