Still don't get why E$PN dropped Tucker Israel's 4th star

Not like I lose sleep over recruit rankings or anything, its just puzzling. Was it because of his size? Its not like he got any smaller....I don't get how you can have a guy who has been increasingly productive and improving and lower his ranking. Odd.

Does he have a cannon for an arm too? Don't know much

about the kid honestly. Outside of him being "undersized" and breaking all kinds of passing records in Florida which is impressive.

strong arm, probably not a cannon like parker. But he can sling it in there and has as good a touch on the deep ball as you could want.

I agree, not a "cannon" for an arm but he has superb accuracy in all phases. He has pretty good quickness and speed too. Not as much as Bryant, but he can get outta trouble and make things happen.

ESPN is doing everything it can to influence recruiting! From constantly spouting that if you are talented, big, fast, you play in the SEC, to dropping stars to affect the overall class rankings of non-SEC schools! It is INDOCTRINATION and BRAINWASHING of the 12-15 year olds that are out there watching! Calling them out on TIGERNET really doesn't help but TWITTER can be a powerful tool that the public can use to call BS on ESPN's actions

I for one can see it either way. He looks like he is like 5'10 without a big time arm. On the other side guy has put up video game numbers. Scouts love the guy that looks like a million bucks at qb. If you go back and look think qb would have the highest bust right out of the 4 stars.

the bigger question for me......why sign with CU at all....................and sit behind Watson. Of course Watson is injury-prone.....but still surprised to see Dabo sign not one but two Qbs in this class.

There are several factors that make sense. Yes, the starter can get injured, particularly if he's a significant weapon in the run game. (See tOSU) Also, there's the thought that they can learn and improve. Young QBs can see guys having success in the system, graduating, and enjoying the family atmosphere and be attracted to that. Sure, they'd like to have that success early, but the other factors make being patient easier. Israel also strikes me as an intelligent kid. Maybe he knows that he'll be better able to compete in a couple years after he's grown an inch or two and put on a few pounds.

Most QBs understand they will sit a year or 2 or take a RS before being able to realistically compete for playing time. Bryce Ramsey signed wwith UGA with several other QBs already on the roster...
