Texas top 10, Miami 12 and UofSuC at 17. Somebody needs to remind them that drugs are bad for you.

Not surprising really. About where middle SEC gets you. It's not like they have to win 10 games... Just 8. And it won't shock me if they're not higher than that. Have to give props when deserved. Shane did a great job this year given the lack of talent.
We're not the only team that had key injuries. They had as much, if not more oline reshuffling and injuries than we did. Didn't have a QB and one of their top WR was a transfer from st Francis along with grad QB.

Lack of talent? Their wins were Eastern Illinois, East Carolina(by 3 points) Troy(by 9 points) Vandy(by 1 point) Florida, Auburn, and UNC. Did they not have more talent than Eastern Illinois, East Carolina, Troy, and Vandy? Florida probably had more talent but had like 20 guys out with the flu and had given up on their coach at that point. Auburn had more talent but played with a backup QB and were obviously looking ahead to Bama. UNC had similar talent and was a decent win over another 6-6 team. It's not a bad coaching job by any means, but how is that a great coaching job?

I've been hearing "next year is the year" from SCar fans for all of my 73 trips around the sun (66 years of watching college football). Every year it's the same thing... the Year of the Gamecock... NOT!
Delusional is not a strong enough word!

Not really satire... Just a nothing burger. Anyone that follows college FB could write this article based off the current parameters, staffs, recruiting, NIL, portal etc. Based on the article it's saying this would be the 2025 ranking. What about 2024? Kinda like the futures market ?

If you use this projection to pick a future 12 team playoff, there would be 7 future SEC, 2 ACC, 1 Big 10, 1 PAC 12 and 1 Independent teams. The 4 highest conference champions Bama, OSU, USC and Clemson get byes. If you leave at 4, the SEC still gets 2 in and the ACC, Big 12 and PAC 12 are not included. Notice there are no teams in the top 25 from the ACC Atlantic and only 3 ACC teams total. Clemson's best chance the reach the playoffs will be in an 8 or 12 team playoff.

10 sounds about right. If want to know who the big boys are then look at the 247 team rankings. Texas A&M just picked up their 6th 5 star this year and they have 19 4 stars. However, I do know Texas A&M can have 20 5 stars and Jimbo will still lose 3 games a year. We need to try to keep pace with GA and AL and that seems to be the problem at this moment. We knew we would take a hit in this years class but next year should be a lot better.

Oklahoma hasn't finished unranked since 1999 and only finished outside the Top 15 once in the last 20 years.
