Really like Simmons, but he lacks playmaking right now

I actually think he may be a little better than Muse right now (since Tanner seems to do something bone headed every game), but Isaiah can't seem to finish plays very well. He should probably have 5 or 6 INTs on the year easy, but the hands and awareness just aren't quite there yet. Now he's only a Redshirt Frosh, so he still has plenty of time to develop. However, if he ever makes that next leap with his measurables, he'll be a beast for us and make a lot of money on Sundays.

He should be starting over Tnet's golden boy Muse.

I stopped reading at, "..boneheaded every game"

Because when you need to exagerate like that to try and make a point, then you probably don't have a good point.

I think it's pretty true

Muse plays like a bull in a china shop out there. Heck of an athlete, but a bit too amped up and makes really questionable decisions at times.

I like Tanner (and Simmons), but Tanner has to learn that one or two big hits or big plays do not make up for even more missed assignments. I expect him to start getting his assignments straightened out .... hopefully anyway. He is the very type of player that GT burns with a 60 yard bomb after running 12 straight downs.

over the throat slash deal. Not only stupid because of penalty, but like Dabo said, not something we EVER want Clemson associated with. More of a Miami, FSU, Coot, or Looeyville type thing.

Much like we'll never Ray Ray drop the ball

short of the endzone, I'd bet my mortgage we never see Tanner with that incredibly boneheaded move again.
Dude is too full of testosterone sometimes. Needs to slow down and play like a veteran. We need some leaders, not boneheads.

He's a confident and even cocky player.

But yeah, needs to focus more on playing intelligent ball and leading instead of trying to drink from the football
Too, did he do a throat slash? I missed the play and truly not positive. If he did, he should still be running stadium steps today.

I mean he did cause an fumble that gave us 6 points...and he did run someone down from scoring a TD which lead to a FG...

I'd have to check, but I don't think he caused the fumble.

Completely agree. Muse is a big, physical safety who hits hard and has tremendous speed. Coverage skills? Noting to brag about. He also has missed some key tackles.

I played safety in HS , and I can tell you from experience it is not a position that is easy to master . You have to make decisions in an instant after the ball is snapped . Regardless of your assignment it is not difficult to get out of position based on what the offense is trying to do . With today's multiple set and constant motion offensive schemes , I assure you that not being in position on every single down and not making bad moves after the snap is commonplace to CFB safeties . Coaches on our team know this , that is why you stay with the guy who has earned a position about 90% of the time . Tanner is a bigtime playmaker , " boneheaded " plays or not .
