The Swamp Fox is my first cousin, many times removed. One of my direct ancestors on my father's side was his close friend and first cousin. Tarleton's men burned my ancestor's home in Williamsburg County to the ground in 1780. The house was rebuilt in 1830 and still stands today.

Correction: they were first cousins, not brothers-in-law. That makes me a first cousin (many times removed) as well. I think that's how it works, anyway. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Mouzon's life is closely connected to that of his first cousin and closest friend, General Francis Marion, the "Swamp Fox."

They do a good job with that American Patriots show. The Francis Marion one is fascinating if you are familiar with that area and are a South Carolinian.

They did a decent job hitting some of the high spots of his life an military career. So much more to the story that is also interesting. They should rename Ft. Bragg after Marion since they attribute him to being the father of guerilla warfare...that he learned from the native mericans.
