looked like the coot guy intentionally went for his knee. a shame targeting doesnt apply there but only if you tap a wr or qb and wear orange apparently.

I noticed that too, if you watch the TD where DW pitched it to Gallman you'll see Leggett get his legs taken out too. Even Spurrier said that in the post game show, he talked about how guys were more worried about taking out the lead blocker than they were making a tackle and didn't know if they teach that here or not.

you can't put that on the coot player. The reason he went

Low is because of the stupid targeting rules that are in place. Our guy did the same thing to Buster Anderson. It looks vicious and is actually worse that targeting in my opinion, but the rules give the players no choice.

yeah I had to hit him in the knee because I could hit him in the stomach or thigh? yeah right. I get what youre saying about the rule but he was unblocked and could have hit him anywhere. he deliberately went for a shot to hurt the guy.

If the rules don't allow you to hit a player high ... then you place the knees in jeopardy. Very, very foolish rule that may be altered.

Hate it for him....Such a good kid
Kinda regressed this season...due in part to inconsistent QB play (Watson not being in there)...hope he rebounds for a good year next season

Hate to see Stanton miss bowl game. Watched him in several games at Porter Gaud. A real beast when he has the ball. Good luck with the surgery and hope he get's back quick. GO TIGERS !!

Cooper and Legget, now Seckinger. Thanks for all of his good play over the years, but the Touchdowns in the the wins over Georgia and Ohio State stand out.

Hate to see Seckinger out because of what amounts to #### poor tackling technique. Don't agree with the blame being placed on the targeting rule. Any coach worth his salt when teaching tackling teaches kids (thats where it starts) to hit at the waist or ribs and to (wrap up) close your arms. Too many players still look for the "big" hit as it catches the cameras eye (and the fans..yes we are all guilty of supporting it). This is the result. Now before you start screaming, think about how many players in many different games have you watched try the one arm tackle, the around the shoulders tackle, the "big" hit that misses tackle, only to see the "rock toter" make extra yardage because of crappy tackling technique? The "targeting" call this weekend was fiction. Crappy officiating.

Any ideas about rehab time?

If McCullough doesn't get off suspension, we're going to be pretty thin at TE for the bowl game. That would only give us Cooper, more of a blocker, and Legget, who has been wildly inconsistent all year. Hate this for Seckinger. Seems like a good kid. Get well soon, Stanton.
