Fantastic team win by the tigers

We made it interesting, but what a game!
Everyone pitched in for the win tonight. Our best player probably had his worst game of the season, and we still won. A few thoughts....
- pj hall is getting healthy at the right time. He's a stud. He was obviously a huge part in the win tonight, and we don't win without his presence. - hunter Tyson played extremely well in the second half. He locked down Pickett to start the second half, and made some tough, big time shots. - how about josh beadle defensively? Those 2 blocked shots at the end of the game sealed it! That's something we didn't have w/ dawes and honor last year - middlebrooks making a big time impact. He had 6 big points on a run in the first half, and also made 2 big free throws late. - Hemenway made some big time shots. He is a big time liability on defense, especially against bigger guards, but he did his job by making shots.
Onto the next one! Hopefully we have a big crowd against WF. Big chance to start the ACC 1-0, and then win out non-conference.

Hate Clemson basketball success. They want to burn torches. They want people fired. Oh no, they won a big game! By the way, CBB has now won 14 OT games at Clemson, the most ever by a Clemson coach.

up 7 less than a minute left. They are picked to be 11th in B1G. Glad we beat a team we were favored to beat.
Good Win none the less.

nice win on an extremely off night for Chase Hunter - but he nailed his FTs
bench points were 24-8
good student turnout tonight and they got loud late in the game and in OT - nice to have some atmosphere in LJ tonight!

Loved the way they finished.. usually seems like we find a way to lose these games and I admit I thought it was happening again. Awesome to see PJ put the team on his back in OT and love watching Tyson win he’s on he has a lot of fire and intensity to his game when he gets hot

Win a ton of games shooting 56+% from the field and 3pt land... especially when hunter as you said had his worst night. If he'd been on, we blow them away in regulation.
Didn't realize we were favored and psu picked to finish 11th in big 10. Looking like an excellent chance to finish top 5 in acc. Cuse looks pathetic as does Louisville. Fsu is down but I know they have players out. Should beat wake easily.

1-for-12, but at least five of those shots looked inside the basket then rolled out. He was getting good looks.

Crowd was better tonight with the biggest student participation this season. Enjoyable game to watch and found Penn State's style of posting up their big guards different than what I have been watching. I would like to see a larger crowd and wonder if just turning most of the facility into general admission with $10 tickets wouldn't be better for the program from fan support and revenue, too. Like we did for NIT game.

Tonight was Clemson Grit for sure!

Penn State is a good team. They play disciplined basketball and shoot the ball really well. Their guards are really good. There is no way they are below a middle of the pack team in the Big 12. They will be a tough out for a lot of teams this year if tonight is any indication.
I felt so sorry for Chase Hunter having such an off night shooting, but he stuck with it and got us a key basket when we needed it. Hemenway made some big ones. And what a second half and overtime for Hunter Tyson! He was huge.
Great to see PJ Hall rounding into shape. He still isn’t back to 100%, but he gave us some big minutes tonight. Several huge baskets and free throws!
Beadle’s blocks were so timely!
I want to see RJ Godfrey play more. Ideally 20 minutes a game. I don’t care how he gets them, but it needs to happen.
Middlebrooks was fantastic with his opportunities.
I really like our depth. We can go 11 deep if we want to.
So proud of this team! Go Tigers!

Judge, lots of guys looked good for us tonight. But Penn St isn't a good team. They're rebuilding mode. Definitely on the upswing with new coach but they might struggle to get in the b1g tournament top 14 i think. There's excitement around the new coach up here but no need to stretch it. Good to win and a p5 team. We got a good team and should beat wake easy.

Nice win but still a lot of room for improvement...

Free throw shooting absolutely must improve.
The defense has to do a better job of defending the three ball.
And for the love of God, please stop fouling at the end of the game when you have a lead and want/need the clock to keep running.

Got back from LJC a little while ago — what a game! The team cannot be given enough credit for getting back off the mat after PSU banked in an absolutely clownish shot to force OT. That was a gut punch, and they bounced back to get it done in double OT.
I was especially encouraged to see them manage to win with Chase Hunter having such a brutally unlucky night shooting the ball. Poor guy couldn’t get anything to fall.
Really proud of Beadle and Godfrey both — would’ve liked to see the latter get more run in the second half.
All in all, good win that I think will age well from a strength of schedule standpoint. PSU is incredibly skilled and Micah Shrewsberry is a good coach

Yeah they love him up here. As posted above, they're not a good team. They might be next year if he continues to build. Ppl here are hoping they'll make an nit bid. They'd be elated from the dumpster he took over. Make no mistake, football is still king up here. About like Clemson.
A friend just texted and congratulated me on the W. She was over the moon they hung with us and made it to overtime.

That was an awesome game to be at!
When they made that bank shot, I wanted to puke. What a ridiculous sequence. We get 2 80% free throw shooters to the line and they make 1 of 4. They then come down and bank in a crazy three pointer. Brutal.
I wish Godfrey got more run in the second half as well. He basically dominated when he was in, and he could have guarded Pickett well.
I love the second half adjustments in this game and the Iowa game. We still have yet to play a complete game yet. There is still a lot of improvement we will see from this team.
Overall, I am very encouraged. We will know more on Friday vs. wake. They beat Wisconsin on the road last night.

Tyson with 24 second half points! He may never play a half like that again.
PJ still struggling some defensively and rebounding, but offensively he's able to do what he needs to do. Middlebrooks the last couple of games has really contributed.
I thought Beedle's play once Hunter fouled out was the key to the win. 2 key blocks. No turnovers in that stretch. He played very smart.
Another huge game Friday. Wake is playing well, and are a very good offensive team. One we certainly need at home. Would be very nice to be 1-0 in the league

This is a great point. When Beadle had to come in for C. Hunter, I thought we were screwed. No slight to Josh, who is a great prospect and athlete, but coming in to be our primary ballhandler in an OT game is not easy for a redshirt freshman. Despite my misgivings, he came in played GREAT.
Super stoked for the Wake Forest game on Friday. I won't be able to make that one because I got married on December 2nd five years ago, I don't think I'll be able to sell that one to the wife, haha.

i was really surprised that Beadle came in and not D. Hunter
but Brad made the right call on that one
great to see Beadle's athleticism help the team last night!
