it was a bit ridiculous, at one point arizona players could simply drive the lane and a foul would be called just because they penetrated the lane, the last 4 minutes of the game was called more normally

Yeah. They certainly were fair at the end. Worse than the fouls was the camping of their big men in the lane

Hit the nail on the head. It was maddening the disparity in the way fouls were being called for much of the game.

after 20+ years, we have finally forgotten Rick Barnes' seasons. Those guys started each half with 7 fouls. Or so it seemed.
