Leader of Conservative party in England prefers….

Jul 29, 2012, 6:06 AM

Obama over Romney. Even the Republicans right wing brethren in other countries think they are too nutty to run a country.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2179604/2012-Olympics-Mitt-Romneys-Terrible-Horrible-No-Good-Very-Bad-Day-London.html

It must be lonely to be a Republican. Your right wing brethren across the world think you are incompetent. While as the Republican party goes further and further to the right, the rest of the USA is appalled by your many controversial positions. Also, add to the fact that a majority of young people lean liberal and refuse the xenophobic, homophobic, sexist, racist, and right wing religious viewpoints. It's understandable why so many Republicans feel they are losing "their country". The Republicans aren't losing "their country", the country just doesn't want to have anything to do with their downward spiral into far right wing madness.

two failed wars, cut taxes while carrying out two wars, couldn't find osama bin laden then stopped looking for him in 2005, created the biggest fiscal crisis for the US government in the history of the country, had an imbecile running FEMA leading to the horrible response to the disaster of hurricane katrina, the housing bubble burst, the 2008 recession, the tax cuts that didn't create jobs, the list goes on and on and on

Falsehood flies, and truth comes limping after it, so that when men come to be undeceived, it is too late; the jest is over, and the tale hath had its effect: like a man, who hath thought of a good repartee when the discourse is changed, or the company parted; or like a physician, who hath found out an infallible medicine, after the patient is dead.

Over in England, "conservative" means liberal.

Jul 29, 2012, 5:01 PM

It's just like how people over there drive on the left side of the street. Everything is backwards! So the Conservative Party is really liberal.

Signed, all the pubs who are trying to defend Mitt in this thread

capitalist country. If you want to talk about a country that is socialist, then talk about Sweden. But alas, Sweden a socialist country is doing far better than the capitalist European countries in the current economic crisis. Not that I'm advocating socialism, just pointing out the fact that Sweden a socialist country is doing far better than capitalist European countries.

Me personally, I'm for regulated capitalism with a better social safety net. I'm against trickle down economics/free market/free trade capitalism.

That's another thing you need to learn, there are different forms of capitalism.
